Aspen isn't just my home, it's my studio. As a landscape photographer and oil painter, I’m constantly oscillating between the shutter and the palette knife. My process usually starts with a pack on my back and a camera in hand, scouting the rugged terrain of the Roaring Fork Valley for that perfect composition. Back in the studio, those digital captures serve as the soul of my oil paintings. I love the contrast of my two mediums: the instant, technical precision of a photograph and the slow, tactile evolution of oil on canvas. Whether I’m freezing a moment in time or building it layer by layer, my goal is to share the wild, enduring beauty of the Colorado wilderness.
